Handyman (Job/Lilly Rose Hazel-Rin)

Ami arrived at the guild early that morning, the sun had barely rose up yet. The former dark mage held a paint can in one hand and a paint brush in her other hand. She was going to paint the guild with the help of one of her guildmates she was going to have to repaint the guild. She sighed cause she knew this will take a long time. She opened the can of paint and placed her brush into it, coating it with the thick paint. She lifted it up and began to paint the wall. She moved the brush up and down in a fluid motion, painting the wall of the guild. She made quick progress although her work was a little sloppy.

She began to hum a bit as she worked up and down the wall. After an hour one wall was only a quarter painted. However it didn't look as bad as she had thought it would look. She took a step back to marvel her work before she began working some more. The brush went fluidly up and down the wall as she turned back to see the progress her partner for this long job was doing.

Lilly had been told that she was wanted to join in the renovations of the guild as Kazuki always seemed to find some manner to preoccupy them from getting into trouble. A heavy sigh escaped her lips before now peering over at the other female who had also gotten herself drafted for the payment. She frankly hadn’t met the girl that often before in fact she doesn’t even remember when she joined Fairytail now that she thought about it which wasn’t that big of a shock as she was of the antisocial variety and now finally noticed that she was actually preparing the paint can which would be used for maintaining the wall. A fresh new coat was sometimes revitalizing in this dim hall the walls and tables all a bit banged up and cracked from a few of the fights that had partaken in the hall. Those were magnificent times she smiled thinking back and now peering over toward the blonde woman once again. She wanted to greet her but something in the back of her head kept her silence mainly the hatred toward socializing with such people.

Instead, Lilly walked over pass the girl and now picked up a paintbrush and dunking the tip of her into the can of paint now beginning to hum and old song that she remembered her granny telling her. That scene still playing in her head, she could recall the exact claw marks and everything. She looked over the wall before smacking her brush against the wall as she wasn’t much of painter and she hated to do all this manual labor if it hadn’t been for the jewels she probably would have completely ignored the request. She wasn’t high enough rank to go on the more dangerous ones and thus more interesting ones. A sigh escaped her lips before stroking the paint brush back and forth in long strokes giving a good coating on the wall.

As Ami finished up the final touches of the wall on her side, she gave a quick glance to the girl who she was working with. She recognized her face, although she didn't know her name. She began to give a short and quick whistle to catch her attention. "So, tough work this is." She said, before she picked up her paint bucket and moved to another wall to paint. She dipped her brush in the thick fluid and continued her monotonous work of painting the guild. "I wonder why Kazuki is making us do this, we're members of Fairy Tail not laborers." She said in a joking manner.

She did some more painting as she kept shooting glances back to the young girl. "My name's Ami, I'm the newest member of the guild, and probably one of the most infamous." She joked as she continued her work. She began to make quick progress as the time progressed. She was silent after saying that to the girl. She focused her entire attention on her job, painting the walls so it would look pretty. She hummed a low tune to keep her spirits up as she moved on to the next stretch of bare wall.

As the sun set upon the guild Ami looked at her work, marveling it. She was finally done and boy was she glad. Painting the walls took much effort out of the former dark mage. She was exhausted and every single muscle from her upper body, especially her back ached in the effort it took to paint this. She began to pack up her items and looked at the girl and the progress she was gaining. She decided to wait a bit longer so she could leave with the girl. "I'll wait for you to finish painting so we can leave together. After all you are my partner for this job." She said smiling.

Lilly’s brush main rather slow passes across the smooth surface of the guild hall’s wall as she no coated one layer of it with her brush. She then blinked a bit confused as she heard the woman now speak with her she supposed. It could have been completely wrong but it seemed much like she was attempting to socialize with her. To the first question the girl would give a slight work, she supposed it was tough work but she honestly didn’t care much for it as she now slipped back away from the wall dabbing the end of her brush once more before looking toward the guild wall continuing her work upon the wall it was extremely arduous action to repeat and she began feeling that her arm might have actually begun growing sore from the strokes.

The next few words came flying at her which only made it more clear that she really was trying to make idle conversation with her she shrugged once again to her remark about there apparently lazy guild master as he could have easily hired professional painters and got this job done in half the time. She still hadn’t trusted the idea but as soon as she offered her own name she finally gave one last shrug and actually responding this time. “I’m Lilly I guess I have been here a bit longer than yourself.” She went silent after that once again focusing on the task before her. She then looked over to see how far the woman had got along, it seemed like they were almost done with this wall. She made a few more passes over the corner and placed the brush on the lid of the can. “Ok, I’m done.” She said rather shy.
