Nathaniel woke up to yet another day in his dusty guild hall barracks room. It was still empty nothing changed as Nathaniel walked through his morning routine. Afterwards he got dressed in a black vest with a blue t shirt, with grey jeans and a belt. He didn’t want all the expensive jewelry showing but he did keep his earrings in. Nathaniel had decided to take a trip out to Magnolia to meet other mages since Oak seemed to be dead. It wouldn’t take long for Nathaniel to walk out of the dreary guild hall and receive a gust of cold fresh air. There were not many people outside today, which wasn’t a rarity in Oak generally people stayed inside on cold days. As he walked to the train station Nathaniel fingered the amount of jewels that would be needed for a ticket. Once he arrived at the station, he would walk up to the straight to the ticket window handing the man in the window his jewels.
”Here is the jewels I want a seat alone if it makes no difference.”Once the ticket came back from the man Nathaniel walked onto the train. It was a rather simple train car with cushioned seats, no one else was in the room. He sat down on the cushion quietly closing his eyes slowly. He would definitely be taking a nap for this trip who would want to watch the cities roll by. The vibrations of the train soothed Nathaniel’s body as he fell asleep.
He awoke to the sound of the train coming to a halt into the station, he looked out the window but couldn’t tell what town they were in. One thing was for sure it wasn’t Magnolia he knew how the view from the train station there was. The first thing that he would do is head to the magic store his teacher had shown him. Hopefully there would be a golden key for sale, while unlikely Nathaniel always liked to check. Either way he was to awake now to continue his nap so he decided to stretch his legs by walking around on the train. Walking out of his cabin there was only one armed guard in the hallway near the door. Smiling as he past the guard Nathaniel walked into the next car interested in what he’d see. It was a lounging train cart with men and women sitting around tables doing a variety of activities. Nathaniel found a seat at a very small bar where the attendant offered him a free drink. It was a dirty scotch not necessarily a bad thing but it burned going down his throat. Motioning for another drink Nathaniel put some jewels on the table, he was to lazy to interact with others today so he would drink the ride away.
An hour later Nathaniel was intoxicated enough that he would be his own company. Stumbling back to his train cabin Nathaniel fell onto his cushions in what he thought was a comfortable position. He would pass out into a much deeper slumber this time, he would not awake until a train guard was hovering over him. Taking a second to observe his surroundings Nathaniel knew he was in Magnolia this time. Also the guard might of mentioned it while shaking him awake. Nathaniel rubbed his eyes while walking out into the town he had arrived.
