Spell Name: LL-7d7 Longinus Rank: C Magic Cost: 10 MP Type: Offensive Element: Non-Elemental Spell Effect: A single-handed weapon handle. Two blades of pure energy appear from the handle, reaching lengths of 4 feet from the handle all to the way to the twin tapering tips. Due to the fact that this weapon is made of pure energy, it's weight is absolutely negligible, resulting in extremely quick strikes. This weapon is capable of extending it's range up to 10 meters long for a short period of time. The weapon can't sustain the extended reach for a long period of time, costing an additional 10 MP every time the weapon is extended. The weapon begins it's retreat back to it's normal length upon reaching 10 meters. While the blade is extending or retracting, Baal is capable of using it like normal, but with extended reach.
When used with the SDX-117 Spyglass, Baal is capable of making the blade bend and curve while it is extending to track down the target. This only works until it reaches it's maximum extension. The weapon stops tracking while in retract mode.
Quote :
Damage: This weapon deals C Rank damage. Range: Melee Range / 10m when extended Durability: Can take 4 D Ranks, 2C Ranks, or 1 B Rank before breaking.
Duration: Sustained (or until destroyed) Cooldown: 3 Posts
Spell Name: EDB-001 Aegis Rank: C Magic Cost: 10 MP Type: Defensive Element: Non-Elemental Spell Effect: Two shining 'wings' appear 2 meters in front of Baal. These blades are capable of moving to absorb attacks. Each wing can absorb 1 C Rank (or equivalent) damage before breaking. So with 2 shining 'wings' Baal is capable of absorbing 2 C Rank attacks. Once a Wing is used, that Wing is considered broken.
Due to the item's limitation, it cannot block anything higher than C Rank. Baal is capable of telling the blades when to block and when to let an attack pass, giving him the ability to choose which attack to block. Unfortunately, Baal is only capable of using this for attacks directly in front of him. These wings aren't effective on attacks to his side or from his back.
This does not count as armor, and can work on-top of equipped armors.
Quote :
Range: 2 meters directly in front of Baal Durability: Each 'wing' can absorb a single C Rank or lower attack.
Duration: Sustained (or until all 'wings' destroyed/used) Cooldown: 3 Posts
Spell Name: AMF-777 Arbalest Rank: C Magic Cost: 10 MP Type: Offensive Element: Non-Elemental Spell Effect: This spell may only be used while the SDX-117 Spyglass is equipped. A target is required to be 'locked-on' in order to use. Baal summons a 'bit' which is capable of semi-autonomous movement. The Arbalest has a length of 14 inches long by 8 inches high, tapering down into a cone shape. This weapon is capable of moving through the air, being extremely agile and capable of moving at 10 m/s. The Arbalest is capable of moving around, finding the most advantageous angle before striking with a beam of pure energy.
While Baal has the Arbalest out, he is capable of wielding another weapon, allowing the Arbalest to possibly attack simultaneous and choosing when to attack. Due to the concentrated needed and the need to remain locked-on to the target, Baal's ability to sustain this spell is very limited. Once Baal loses a lock on a target, the Arbalest returns to his side and awaits the next target.

Range: 10 meters radius from Baal. Durability: Can take 4 D Ranks, 2C Ranks, or 1 B Rank before breaking.
Duration: 2 Posts (or until destroyed) Cooldown: 5 Posts

Training for LL-7D7 Longinus:
Spoiler:
Baal realized on his previous job that he required new equipment. Having a squirt gun and a super heavy sword isn't going to cut it in future jobs when he's dealing with stronger, more agile opponents. Finding himself in the Marivel Heavy Industries main building, he spoke with the lead engineer. Clearing his throat, he brought a sketch-pad towards the engineer and quickly drew up the concept art for a new weapon; codenamed: LL-7D7 Longinus. It is to be a sword-type weapon that extends out like a spear. It wasn't enough that it had the ability to extend, but he wanted to integrate the Spyglass into this design by allowing the weapon to track his opponent's movements via the 'lock-on' feature.
The engineer rubbed his chin and nodded his head. "Sure, we'll get to work on this, Baal. But it might take a little while to make it lightweight and pliable. The only thing I can think of to make weapons like that are to make them out of pure energy," the engineer stated before Baal nodded his head. "Make it so," he said as he fantasizes about using a lightsaber in combat going 'shuuuu shuuuu shuuuu cackle!' while fighting people.
"Though, we're probably going to need you to help with this project and other projects in the future," the engineer said. Baal wouldn't have had it any other way. Walking with the engineer to the Research and Development branch of Marivel Heavy Industries, he began to put his knowledge of electronics to work; creating schematic diagrams with resistors, capacitors, circuit boards, switches, and more technical stuff like that. Not only that, but he also drew up soldering pathways and wiring that will go into a single handle.
From the handle, energy will 'sprout' out and extend outward. Once he finished drawing up the diagram, he got straight to work creating a circuit board with the essential parts. He soldered components together in a certain way, leading up to many, many capacitors. These capacitors are to absorb electrical energy from the weapon and pushes out the electrical energy into a blade of pure power.
After creating the circuitry, he had the engineers craft up a handle that will be comfortable and easy to wield. They came up with a handle that fit comfortably in Baal's hands where the blade comes out from either sides of the handle. After putting the weapon together, he tested it. With a flick of the power switch, the weapon activated, creating a large blade made of pure energy. It was light-weight and allowed for extremely quick strikes from his weapon.
Nodding in approval, Baal took the weapon to the test facility where he was met up with dummies at close range and dummies at long range. These dummies were equipped with a heat module, which assisted in tracking. Baal summoned his Technical Arm and Spyglass, and then summoned Longinus. This weapon cleaved right through the dummies and with a swift lock-on, Baal extended the weapon outward, allowing it to reach the target in mere seconds.
He moved his arm outwards and began to run around with it. The blade, however, kept tracking the target. After the blade plunged into the target, Baal requested another target hiding behind an obstacle. After getting a positive lock-on, the weapon rushed towards the obstacle and bent around it and impaled itself into the target.
After testing the weapon, he gave his opinions on it. "I want the weapon to be able to project out faster and have tighter lock-on. Yes, it is pretty responsive, but it also feels sluggish in movement. Think you guys can handle that?" he asked the engineers before they rubbed their faces, nodding to Baal in return.
The next day, Baal returned to the Research and Development branch and returnd to see what appeared to be the same exact weapon from yesterday. "We altered the capacitors and put on a sensor that directly links up to the Spyglass's tracking system. However, the extension time is now extremely limited. As soon as it extends and reaches it's destination, it will return immediately. That's alright with you, right, Baal?" asked the head developer.
Taking the weapon in-hand, Baal swung around just the handle a bit. The weapon, itself, didn't seem to be much heavier than it was. After clicking the on button, the weapon ignited having a reddish-purple energy come out instead of a light blue energy. This color caused Baal's brow to raise. He nodded in approval. "What's causing the blade to be this color?" he asked.
"Well, we changed out the frequency modulator with a much more powerful one, figuring that higher frequencies will travel through the air much faster than a lower frequency," the engineer said causing Baal to tilt his head a bit. "But all frequencies move at the same speed," he said before the engineer raised his hand a bit.
"It's magic, Baal. It doesn't really need any other answer other than that," he said before Baal swung the energy blade a bit, hearing it making a humming noise as it moved. This caused chills to go up his spine. He was a step closer to realizing his fantasy of being a 'psychic warrior of the force'. Now all he needs to do is be able to use psychokinetic powers. But he knows that isn't possible.
Baal took the weapon back down to the testing range and repeated the test once more. The blade still cut as cleanly as the previous version, but when it came to the ranged test, the weapon responded much faster and traveled at a much more rapid pace. However, once the blade was extended, it started it's march right back towards the hilt. Taking advantage of it's varying range, Baal swung his blade, instantly cutting through all other obstacles and dummies around him. Once the blade returned to it's neutral position, Baal nodded and powered down the weapon.
"Perfect. Well done," he said to the engineers as they all bowed to him. "It's been a pleasure to serve you, Baal. Please put in a good word for us with your father."

Training for EDB-001 Aegis:
Spoiler:
"Yeah, before I leave, I have a couple more projects I want to work on," Baal said before the lead engineer grunted a little in response to Baal needing even more unpaid work done from them. Regardless of how much work is done, they won't get paid any more than they already do. The curse of being a slave to the salary. The lead engineer looked up from his look of defeat and exhaustion towards the man with the long, flowing blonde locks of hair. "Problem?" Baal asked the lead engineer.
The lead engineer held his hands out, facing his palms towards Baal and shook them as well as his head. "No! Absolutely not, Baal. It's just that, me and my men haven't been eating or sleeping well," the man said in defense of his men. Narrowing his eyes at the men, he sucked air through his teeth and walked past them and took a seat upon the drafting bench.
The men gave a sigh of relief before Baal shouted out. "Then take your asses to lunch. You have one hour to eat and come back and get to work. Don't screw around either. You wouldn't want to lose your jobs, do you?" he stated as he simply glared at the men as well as the lead engineer. With that, the men vanished to lunch. The longer they stayed griping or licking Baal's boots, the more time they lose in their limited lunch break.
With the men gone, Baal cleared his throat, spread open a sheet of paper, grabbed a pencil, and began to draw up the design of the item. Baal originally started drawing the item as if it was a belt buckle. Tilting his head a bit, he disliked the design. He tore the paper off of the drafting bench and threw it to the side before he began another concept design for the item. After several drafts, all of them being spectacular failures, he finally settled on a single design. The item looked to be a round object with a glowing blue core. It's going to be an item he places in all of his armors as a supplemental resource.
Once the main design is done, he tore that sheet of paper and put it off to the side for use later. It had been 59 minutes and nobody had returned from lunch. Baal stopped what he was doing to eyeball the clock on the wall and right at the last second, everyone he dismissed instantly appeared through the door like a tsunami.
"Now that you're back, get to work on that casing. I want it to be able to amplify high frequency waves into a visible object. You think you can handle that?" he asked the men before they all nodded; looking extremely nervous, wondering if Baal was going to question the time they returned. They paused for a moment before Baal shooed them away. A sigh of relief washed over them before Baal started to draw up the necessary diagrams for the innards of this item. After drawing up the schematics on the inside, Baal tore the sheet of paper and shouted. "Nervous guy!" he said in reference to the lead engineer.
Within moments, the lead engineer appeared directly in front of them. Baal pointed him in the direction of the paper. "Get that done by this time tomorrow. I want a working item. I want this to protect me as a barrier for my armor. Get it right the first time, as well. I don't want any excuses," he said simply, harking back upon the Research and Development Team's initial failure for the Longinus.
The lead developer began to rub his hands together and nodded. "Yes, you're right. We'll do it right the first time," he simply stated before waving the man off and going home for the night.
The very next day... Baal returned to the department after a good night's rest. Where-as the members of the Research and Development team looked ragged and quite haggard from all of the work Baal had put them through and in such a short time. Baal looked at the men and nodded his head. "Well, you all look quite refreshed," he said that knowing that they looked absolutely terrible.
"Where's the product?" he asked before being presented with the small disc-shaped object. Baal looked down at the item for a moment.
"Well, this is called the EDB-001 Aegis. This attaches to all of your armors and can create two shields of pure energy directly in front of you. While in front of you, these 'wings' can move on your command to block whatever shots you want them to," he explained to Baal before Baal summons his Technical Arm and attached it to the arm at the shoulder.
"Good, then let's test it out," he said.
In the testing room, Baal stood at one end of the room while the lead engineer stood at the other end. The lead engineer had a magic rifle while Baal stood with his Technical Arm and the two wings of the Aegis powered up. "I know you've wanted to do this for a while. Go ahead and fire, if you're good enough to hit anything. Don't make me move into the shots, understand?" he said, mocking the man's ability to fire a weapon.
The lead engineer raised the rifle with a shaky hand and pulled the trigger, missing Baal complete. "Stop being a pussy and hit me!" he said before the man aimed down the sights of the wiggly rifle. He closed his eyes and pulled the trigger. Baal watched as the blast traveled 11 miles per hour towards him. This gave Baal enough time to reach into his pockets, pull out a cigarette, light it, and take a few puffs. While he did this, the wings of the shield moved to block the shot, completely absorbing it.
"Not bad. Good job, scrub," he simply stated before taking another puff from his cigarette and flicked it upon the ground. "I'll put in a good word for you rejects. Expect a promotion here soon," the lead engineer perked up with a smile. "Really?"
"No."

Training for AMF-777 Arbalest:
Spoiler:
Baal returned to the Research and Development only to find it empty. "Hello?" he asked, hearing his voice echo. "Hello?" he asked before a voice came from behind him. "Is it me you're looking for?" spoke the voice from behind him. This caused Baal to pull back a bit, staring at the strange man behind him. It was the janitor.
"Tell me, why is everyone at home?" Baal asked inquisitively at the man pushing a broom around.
"It's the holidays. You're not going to find anyone here. Even your father is at home right now. You got in because I left the front door unlocked. Well, then again, you probably also have a key," spoke the old, droopy looking man. He smacked his lips together a bit. Something about this man reminded him of a comic book character; one that you can't take seriously and one that's so old that he begins to ramble on incoherently.
"Well, I've got a lot of work to do, so don't get in my way," Baal said to the janitor before the man mumbled a bit before pushing the broom once again. With that settled, Baal sat back down at the drafting bench and began to sketch out the designs of his newest weapon, the AMF-777 Arbalest. This is going to be an energy pod that floats around Baal, shooting pure energy at the target.
After the initial design of the outside was created, he began to work on the electronic components on the inside of the weapon. The firing mechanism was easy enough, but the most difficult part was the mental manipulation circuits. This gave Baal so many issues. Saving the part he drew up for the firing mechanism, he made giant piles on the floor involving the mental manipulation circuit.
Groaning, he saw the janitor once more, leaving the designs on the drafting bench. "Leave this shit alone. I'm going to go take lunch," he said before standing up and walking out completely infuriated. After Baal left, the janitor bent over and looked at his drawings, seeing them labeled 'Mental Manipulation Circuit'. After looking through what Baal had drawn, the old man got to work on the drafting bench and began drawing up his own schematics. The old man shook his head and started to draw up what he thought would work.
In his drawings, he changed the circuitry immensely, integrating the mental manipulation circuit to the triggering and aiming mechanism. Along side all of that, the old man also created a crown-like object with all of the wiring and all that within the crown. He also included a data-mixer to turn Baal's thoughts when used for aiming, movement, and firing into data, which then transfers to the guidance computer which sends the guidance information to the funnel's receiver which receives the wireless data and activates the propulsion system and triggering mechanism.
The old man looked at his work and nodded his head, delighted with what he had made. Baal returned from a rather long lunch only to see the disheveled stack of papers piled neatly upon each other and something new drawn upon the drafting bench. Looking it over, his eyes opened up wide. "What the hell is this?" he shouted out loud, having his voice heard throughout the hallway. He put his eyes on what he is seeing and slaps himself over the face. "Son of a bitch! Why didn't I think of that?" he said before looking around for a moment, snatching up the diagrams and getting to work in the shop.
He did more work. this time the work was more technical and hands-on instead of drawing up diagrams and schematics. He created multiple circuit boards with wires and cables everywhere. He injected a crystal into the firing mechanism of the funnel. After he did all of that, he created the crown to custom fit his own noggin. One other thing he had forgotten was to integrate the weapon with tracking, allowing the spy glass to use the lock-on feature. After that bit of integration, he cleared his throat and looked down at the final product.
Baal summoned his Technical Arm, picked up the parts and walked to the testing room. Baal had set up obstacles at different distances with some through tight holes that only the funnel could fit into. Equipping the crown upon his head, he forced all thought into the crown. The funnel was placed upon the ground and with each thought, the funnel began to wiggle upon the floor. He had to concentrate on being able to do the basics with this weapon before possibly using it properly.
After several minutes of concentration, Baal caused the funnel to spin around. After another twenty minutes, he finally got the weapon to hop off of the ground. He took the rest of the day practicing with this weapon, only to get it dead still while in the air. However, upon trying to manipulate it in the air, it would crash and burn. Sighing outwardly, Baal decided to take the equipment home and continued to practice. Right now wasn't the time for practical attack training; not until he got maneuvering down pat.
The very next day... Baal appeared in the Research and Development department only to see the staff looking chipper, however upon Baal's entry all of the workers began to grow pale. The lead engineer walked up to Baal, already shaking. "Calm down, stupid. I'm not putting either of you to work. I just need to use your testing facility," he stated before everyone sighed a collective sigh of relief. The engineer turned his eyes down to the item that Baal was holding and nodded.
"Alright then, go ahead," he said before Baal walked passed the man and went straight to the testing facility. The inside was set up just the way he left it before. Baal stood in the middle of the testing field, summoned his Technical Arm and the spy glass. He placed the crown upon his head and let the funnel remain on the ground.
Closing his eyes, Baal concentrated on lifting the funnel only for it to lift off to just above his head. Baal turned his head to look towards a target, causing the funnel to move laterally with the target and turn it's nozzle and shot a beam of energy at the dummy, vaporizing it. He did this to all targets, attacking things at different angles. Afterward, everything was destroyed.
"Did you create that all by yourself, Baal?" asked the head engineer.
"Well, most of it. I think the night time janitor helped me out with the mental manipulation circuit," Baal replied.
"We don't have a night time janitor," the lead engineer stated with a bit of a raised brow. Baal turned and looked towards the lead engineer and dropped his jaw a bit. "What? That can't be possible. Then who the hell was that?"
